2B or not 2B 2025

‘on the periphery of Architectural thought’

Further to the inaugural 2B or Not 2B event in 2023 we are opening up submissions for the 2025 exhibition.

The exhibition raised money through the generosity of the respective authors to enable us to develop a drawing scholarship for Masters students of the Victorian Schools of Architecture. It’s an annual scholarship and the funds raised in 2024 are funding the scholarship which is being awarded this year and annually thereafter. Accordingly, we are raising funds for the ongoing annual scholarship and to enable the wider understanding of hand drawing as a part of the DNA of architects and their being.

So there’s a new exhibition being planned and hosted at QDOS in Lorne in April 2025

It is a two step process

First… by July 2024 we’d like to know if you wish to contribute a drawing to the exhibition see the proforma link to let us know

Required Name and photo , intention to submit via the proforma link link here

We have room for 80 works

Second …by end of February 2025

We will ask you to submit 1 hand drawing exploring at the periphery of your architectural thought. We ask for you to shed the constraints of everyday architectural drawing and to explore the very core of your creative thinking.

All submissions must be handwork, framed and ready to hang.

1 framed work, A2 -A1 is preferred.

All works are for sale at the QDOS gallery. Please list the proposed retail price of your works as a guide.

The Gallery commission is 33.3% of sales.

All profits will be donated to the Institute of Architecture for the annual Sinclair Nelson drawing scholarship . see attached details in the link

To celebrate this unique exhibition, the gallery will publish an A4 saddle stitched booklet, each participate half of an A4 space. card for general distribution.
